Angelito Mallari Jr., who goes by the name JayR Mallari, is an A-list celebrity barber. Born and raised in Vallejo, California, Mallari went from working in his mom’s garage for as little as $5 a cut to being a personal barber to the biggest NBA stars.
After graduating from high school in 2005, Mallari attended the Paris Beauty College to learn the basics of hair cutting. His skills and passion for the profession soon landed him a gig at a barbershop called Legends. From there, JayR’s career garnered him both fame and fortune.
Aside from working with high-profile clients like Stephen Curry, DeAndrea Jordan, and Nick Young, this Filipino barber also spends time at his salon, Legacy Barber Studio. He also collaborates with big brands like Gillette every now and then. With multiple income streams set in place, one can assume that Mallari must have amassed a considerable amount of wealth in his career.
