Jose Tapia, commonly known as Jaytee The Barber, is a talented young celebrity barber based in Larkfield-Wikiup, California. Jaytee became famous through his incredible hair transformation and hairstyling videos that he posted on Instagram and Youtube. He eventually amassed a massive social-media fan following of more than 327,000 on Instagram and around 40,000 on Youtube.
At 18, Jaytee had his first job at the West Coast Cuts, a barber shop in Santa Rosa, California, which kickstarted his career. Currently, he works at the Visionz Barbershop on Cleveland Avenue, Santa Rosa, where he has a large clientele base. The hairstyles he creates are a mix of his creativity and inculcation of urban culture.
Jaytee was nominated for the best content creator award at The Barber Grammys 2021. His passion drives his creativity allowing him to create intricate designs on his client’s hair. For someone who started so young and is primarily self-taught, Jaytee is an inspiration for many young aspiring hairstylists.
