Hairdresser for the homeless, Mark Bustos, is a popular celebrity barber and hair stylist from NY. What sets him apart from other famous barbers, except for his wealthy clientele, is his passion for serving humanity. After being inspired by a trip to the Philippines in 2012, every Sunday, Bustos hits the streets of New York, offering his services to homeless people.
Mark started out in his parent’s garage when he was 14, experimenting on his friend’s hair, earning a few dollars here and there. After graduating with an irrelevant degree from college, the Filipino hairstylist decided to go to hair school to get his license. He gradually worked his way up in the hair industry and got to a point where he was charging hundreds of bucks for a single cut. Bustos currently co-owns multiple high-end hair salons in the US. The humanitarian hairdresser describes his motto as “ either expensive or free, but never cheap.”
